The Robotic M6 MLS Laser at TheraBeam uses concentrated light energy and a patented delivery system to stimulate the body’s own healing processes. It does not generate heat, and can safely be used in areas with surgical hardware. It’s noninvasive, drug-free, painless, and completely free of side effects.

FDA-cleared and proven through years of extensive research, the Robotic M6 Laser has a unique pain-relieving effect which can be quite dramatic. Many patients feel significantly better in just a few treatments.

TheraBeam for diabetic peripheral neuropathy feet hands

Peripheral Neuropathy of the Feet & Hands

Early diagnosis and treatment of peripheral neuropathy is important since peripheral nerves have a limited capacity to regenerate. Treatment may only stop the progression - not reverse damage.

A recent study by Andrew Rader, DPM (tap to read) has shown that MLS Laser Therapy applied to leg nerves in persons with documented diabetic peripheral neuropathy leads to objective improvement in nerve function, demonstrated by NcS evaluation. This improvement can lead to increased sensibility in the feet, which interrupts the causal pathway that leads to ulceration, infection and amputation.

TheraBeam postop pain relief

Postsurgical Recovery

Whether you have shoulder and neck pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, aching knees, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, sciatica or any other musculoskeletal pain, you are likely to benefit from MLS Laser Therapy. As a matter of fact, many patients who were scheduled for surgery were able to delay or cancel their surgery because MLS Laser Therapy alleviated their condition and reduced or eliminated their pain.

But if surgery is your only option, speak to your doctor about receiving MLS Laser treatments following the procedure. MLS Laser Therapy reduces post-operative pain and inflammation, allowing you to heal much faster. With less pain and inflammation, you’ll need less recovery time and will be back to normal activity much faster.

How does the Robotic M6 MLS Laser work?

MLS stands for Multi-wave Locked System. The Robotic M6 MLS Therapy Laser is a fully automated Class IV Laser that uniquely uses two lasers at once, simultaneously and synchronized. One laser eases pain; the other reduces inflammation and swelling.

It features two wavelengths: 808 and 905 nanometers. The wavelengths are in the infrared spectrum — they are invisible to the eye. The 808 wavelength treats inflammation and is long lasting. The 905 wavelength is analgesic and is fast acting. The MLS wavelengths combine and synchronize the 808 nm and 905 nm waves in a unique and proprietary way. Together, they are very effective.

The laser can painlessly penetrate in most cases from 3 to 5 cm deep and generates no heat. There are no known harmful effects. Laser energy stimulates cells to remove toxins, like histamine and cytokine, out of cells. It allows oxygen and food loads into the cells. Laser waves block the pain signals to the nociceptors in the brain, and release endorphins and enkephalins. In addition, laser light increases ATP production and cell growth bringing blood flow to the area, accelerating healing. The MLS Laser stimulates the mitochondria in cells to jumpstart the body’s own healing processes. Each treatment is cumulative, building upon the previous treatments.

What can I expect?

MLS Laser Therapy is completely painless and comfortable, and the average treatment time is 8-10 minutes. Most patients experience positive results in 2 to 4 sessions, with the average number of treatments ranging from 7 to 10, depending on the condition. Some patients respond more quickly, and others improve more slowly. The effects of MLS Laser Therapy are cumulative; that is, the treatments build upon one another, so it is important to complete the entire course of treatments recommended by your health care provider.

  • MLS Laser Therapy can lead to increased sensibility in the feet, which interrupts the causal pathway that leads to ulceration, infection and amputation.
